Jeep drivers are some of the most aggressive drivers on the road. They are known for their love for speed and their tendency to be very attached to their vehicles. Dimitri is no different, his Jeep is his baby and no one is allowed to even look at it without his permission. So when I saw Dimitri’s Jeep parked outside, I just had to do something funny to it.

The History of Dimitri and his Jeep
Dimitri, the adventurer and 4×4 enthusiast, believes there is no car better than a Jeep, he himself has owned multiple in the past but Achilles, his latest Jeep was his all-time favourite, he treated it as if it was his own child.
Achilles the Jeep, as we know has been the lead car in all our convoys – taking on the challenges of our adventures head-on to ensure it is safe for the rest of the convoy to follow. Achilles has been kitted with bigger tyres, a winch, rock-sliders, upgraded ECU, upgraded transmission, snorkel, the list just goes on. But no doubt Achillies is an unstoppable Jeep on the beaten track. On-road, however, we have had some snags but that is normal when owning a Jeep, something always goes wrong.
The Setup
This particular day, Dimitri just got his Jeep back from his mechanic after his power steering pump went, and was messaging us all on our what’s app the group that his car is back and he is ready for adventure. And so it was when I dropped off the kids at School the Jeep was standing there in all its glory, washed and ready for me to pull the best prank on him ever!
I took a quick video and sent it to the group and posted it, welcoming Dimi’s Jeep back and hoping he would find what I have done to it. It didn’t take long for him to run out towards his car and wanted to kill me.
Dimi searched, searched and searched his car, but could not see anything, he even had his wife and his best friend come out to look at the car with him to see what he did, but they all could find nothing.

The Build-Up
After the first inspection of his vehicle, I let Amy (Dimi’s wife) in on the prank and told her not to say anything. She proceeded to play along. What I need to add is that we have a nickname for Dimi, “The Angry Greek”. Now you can imagine the Mediterranean flair building up, his blood boiling as he can’t figure out what I did.
Dimi proceeded to respond to the group stating that I have done nothing to his car – as he knows his car inside out and better than anyone. So the prank continued. I started to rope in everyone I could.
Dimi’s received a message from everyone, every 45min asking him if he figured out what I did. But I mean everyone messaged him. His best friend, my dad, his mechanic, Eric, Frik, his receptionist at his office, his kids, I mean everyone!
During this time, I proceeded to send him video clues, but they were as cryptic as they could be, with no clear indication of what I actually did, and just let him linger in his thoughts, but reminding him every so often, that there is something wrong on his car.
So what did I do?
Nothing, I did absolutely nothing to his car, however, his friend did stick a tiny sticker to the bumper to let him find something at the end of the day wondering how he missed it the whole time.

Even though Dimitri was absolutely livered and his nerves were shot after a whole day of torture, the laugh we all had as a group the entire day was priceless and this ended up being the best prank we ever did to Dimitri, without actually doing anything.
