FAQ
How do I sign in?
You don’t have to at first: pick a driver name and start. To keep your history on a new phone, link Sign in with Apple or Google under Menu → your driver card → Link account. Linking keeps everything you’ve already driven.
What is a crew?
A crew is the group you drive with. When you start a journey or a blaze you choose a crew, and the hexagons you drive through are claimed for that crew. You can lead your own crew, join others by invite link or QR code, or go solo.
What are journeys and blazes?
- A journey is a planned route with your crew: turn-by-turn directions, crew votes for stops, and a shared journal.
- A blaze is no route, just driving: the app records your trail and claims territory as you go.
Does it work without signal?
Yes, for adventuring off the grid:
- When a journey starts, the app saves the route, Laura’s voice directions, stories and places for 30 days.
- Your own past drives can be followed back offline. Take me home retraces the way you came.
- The map falls back to an offline view where map tiles have expired.
- Crew votes and new searches need signal.
Can I use it in the car?
Yes. Forgotten Routes works with Apple CarPlay (and Android Auto on Android). Connect your phone and the drive moves to the car screen; the phone keeps the journal, crew and everything else.
Why does it ask for location “Always”?
Only so guidance and recording keep running while the phone is locked or the car screen is in use, and only while a journey or blaze you started is on.
How do I delete my account?
